Get TRAINED. Get INVOLVED. Get RESULTS.

This training is an opportunity for aspiring advocates -- such as healthcare providers, social workers, family leaders, and teachers -- to learn about the legislative process and how to get involved.

This includes information on civic engagement and elections, as well as how to share your stories through testimony and change legislation:

  • Learn how to recognize a problem in your community and get organized to advance a common goal
  • Apply tactics to map out a campaign strategy and influence decision makers
  • Learn about the legislative process in Hawai‘i and how to participate during the legislative session
  • Meet and hear from state lawmakers on how bill decisions are made and why advocacy is important

This event includes simple breakfast and lunch. Limited parking is available on-site for free; signs will be posted at the parking lot. If you have any questions, you can contact [email protected].

Space is limited, so please RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2018-hawaii-policy-advocacy-training-tickets-52340567045
